SUPPORT AT HOME
Support at Home is Australia’s government-funded aged care program, designed to help older people live independently and confidently at home for longer.
Built on the principles of wellness and reablement, it focuses on your overall wellbeing, comfort, and choice. The program offers flexible options that can be tailored to your needs and adjusted as your circumstances change, giving you greater control over how your care is delivered.
Support at Home recognises that everyone’s care needs and preferences are unique. This includes access to culturally safe, inclusive, and respectful care for all older Australians, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and people of all faiths, genders, and identities.
Through Support at Home, you can access a wide range of assistance across three key areas:
- Clinical care – supporting your health and wellbeing at home.
- Independence – helping you stay active and self-reliant.
- Everyday living – making daily life at home easier and more comfortable.
Simply Helping is an approved provider of Support at Home services. We deliver caring, flexible support shaped around your goals and daily life, helping you stay comfortable at home and connected to your community.

Funding and Budgets
Your Support at Home funding is based on your individual assessment. You will be assigned one of eight funding levels that reflect the type and amount of support you need, from light assistance with daily activities to more regular or complex care.
Funding is provided quarterly, giving you a clear budget to plan your services. If you do not use all your available funding, you can carry over unspent funds of up to $1,000 or 10 percent (whichever is greater) into the next quarter.
Your local Simply Helping team will work with you to create a personalised support plan and help you manage your budget, so you get the most from your funding. Your supports can be adjusted at any time to match your preferences and changing needs.
Support at Home Funding Levels
Support at Home includes eight levels of funding, aligned with your individual care needs and assessment.
Clinical care such as nursing and physiotherapy are fully funded by the government. For other supports, contribution rates vary based on your personal circumstances.
*Examples only. Actual services depend on individual assessment and approved support plan.
Standard Contribution Rates
Under Support at Home, you’ll only contribute to the supports you use. Contribution amounts depend on your income, assets, and the types of services you receive.
Contribution rates are set by the Australian Government and apply consistently across all approved providers, giving you confidence that your services are charged fairly and transparently.
Before your services begin, we’ll clearly explain any contributions, ensuring you always understand what to expect with no hidden costs.
