Everyone has the right to be respected, heard and acknowledged, and to feel safe in an inclusive culture that embraces diversity.
At Simply Helping, our Diversity and Inclusion Framework (D&IF) isn’t just a document; it guides the way we support and work with the people in our community. It enables us to understand the wisdom of people from diverse communities and backgrounds (and the issues they face) and use this understanding to improve our services and the safety of the people we support.
Co-created with real experience
We knew to create a diverse framework, we’d need diverse perspectives. So, we gathered input from people of all abilities, people from diverse communities, our Simply Helping staff, service users, franchisees, and industry experts.
A living framework
The only constant in life is change; that’s why our D&IF is ever-changing and frequently updated to ensure it stays relevant and best serves you. The D&IF also extends beyond our service users—it helps us work in an inclusive and supportive way with your friends, family, allies, carers and our own staff members too.
We know that we are stronger together, and our community’s combined knowledge and experience is incredibly valuable. The D&IF helps us draw on this knowledge and experience to improve our services and the way we approach your support.
“We are stronger together”
Inclusivity doesn’t just happen. We believe everyone (especially support providers) should encourage equal access and opportunities for people from all walks of life, and our D&IF ensures we can do just that. People from diverse communities and backgrounds are experts in their own needs, which is why we continue to seek feedback, listen openly, and keep the conversation about diversity and inclusion going.
