Simply Helping ACT & Queanbeyan provides home care services and disability supports to assist with daily living at home and in the community. Whether you need help with house cleaning, gardening, pet care, or personal support, our services are available to anyone looking for extra assistance. We proudly service all areas in and around Canberra, as well as Queanbeyan and Yass. Our aged care services and disability supports can be accessed through My Aged Care packages or NDIS plans. Alternatively, anyone can access our services privately, or for extra support to manage a busy household.

Meet Ann. A deeply passionate professional, who believes in providing high-quality care to people so they can live independently and with dignity. Having worked in aged care and disability support since 1998, Ann welcomes the opportunity to deliver person-centred care to people in the Canberra, Queanbeyan and Yass regions.

Yunus, Ann’s son, brings NDIS and aged care experience, passion, and energy to our team. He builds meaningful connections and takes the time to get to know your interests, hobbies and goals. Yunus has a deep commitment to enhancing the lives of others, making him an invaluable team member. His studies in Occupational Therapy will amplify his skillset and strengthen the health and safety outcomes for you.

Personal Care

Good health and wellbeing are fundamental basic human rights. As we get older or live with disability, this can become difficult to manage ourselves. Our team of trusted professionals assists with showering, dressing, toileting, nutrition, and mobility. Be comfortable and confident knowing your care is in our hands.

Domestic Assistance

We manage household tasks so you don’t have to stress. Whether you are older, living with disability, or busy, let us assist you. Relax knowing the cleaning, laundry, linen changing, grocery shopping and meal preparation are done. Our domestic care services can be scheduled daily, weekly, fortnightly or monthly.

Social Support

Social connections enrich our lives and promote good health. Our Social Support service helps you stay engaged in what you love. Enjoy a walk, coffee outing, or a local event with friendly support by your side. We provide both companionship and practical assistance, making social time easier and more delightful.

Transport

Move around with freedom and get the shopping done with our transport service. We get you from A to B in a safe and reliable way. Whether it’s grocery shopping, pharmacy pick-up, running errands or getting to an appointment on time, we are your vehicle to your community.

In-Home Respite Care

Our respite service provides temporary relief to the primary carer of a loved one with a disability, chronic illness or other care needs. We are here to give families a break, so they can rest and recharge. This includes overnight supervision, and around-the-clock care.

Gardening

Enjoy a well-kept garden without the effort. Our gardening service helps maintain your outdoor space with lawn mowing, hedge trimming, weeding, and general upkeep. Whether you need regular maintenance or a one-off tidy-up, our team ensures your garden stays neat, tidy, and inviting.

Do you provide NDIS supports and services?

Yes, if your NDIS funding is self-managed or plan-managed, we can provide NDIS disability supports.

Do you provide aged care services at home?

Yes, we do! We assist with tailored support which helps you live independently and comfortably at home. Whether you already have a My Aged Care package or would like to know how to apply for one, we are here to help.

Would I have the same support person?

Absolutely! We understand that trust and consistency are important. We always do our best to provide the same support worker. If your regular support worker is unavailable, we’ll communicate with you and arrange suitable support to meet your needs.

Are you available after hours?

We provide after-hours care and respond quickly in emergencies. If we miss a call, we will always get back to you as soon as possible.

Do I have a choice of the care provided to me?

Certainly! You have full control over the home care or disability support you receive. We work with you to create a support plan that suits your needs based on your preferences and lifestyle. Your care, your choice!

Can you assist with house cleaning and decluttering?

Yes, we provide house cleaning and decluttering services. Helping you to maintain a safe, comfortable and organised home is our priority. Whether you need regular cleaning, deep cleaning or assistance with decluttering, our team is ready to assist.

If you’re unable to support me, can you help me find the support service I need?

If we are unable to provide a specific service, we will assist you in finding the right support through our trusted networks. Our goal is to ensure you get the assistance you need, even if it’s outside of our scope.
